Alfredo I´m running Windows 2003 TS, all the remotes are redirectioning the lpt1 port to the default printer during the logon process. The problem is that all the print job are printing in the printer from the last remote connected user.

Todd Reibling How do I restrict the redirected printers showing up for only the logged in user? I want to make all the other redirected printers not show up in other people's sessions.

Matthew Harris DanD, there is a fix for the problem you are having and it is available off the Microsoft site. Search in the MS KB for num lock.

Matthew Harris Andre, the ISA server might be causing some connection slowdown. You might want to consider tweaking it a bit for performance to see if you can fix it.

DanD My win98se pc's are having problems with numlock and CTRL-ALT being stuck on when connected to W2K3 via Remote Desktop. Any idea's how to fix?

Matthew Harris Session directory is basically a beefed up connect.exe, which allows you to connect to other sessions which are located on other servers. The normal connect.exe only allows local server connections.

Matthew Harris Yes, NLb with affinity can handle things just fine. However NLB doesn't handle reconnecting you back to the server that you were logged into in the case of a disconnection.

The Timmer Hi Mathew, do you feel Session Directory is worh the additional cost of Enterprise? Doesn't affinity handle reconnection for you and isn't affinity better in 2k3?

Matthew Harris I haven't tried that B, although I do know that TS allocates only a certain amount of video memory to each session. You might be running up against that limitation.

B any thoughts on how to get client to connect to TS (server 2003) at higher than 1600x1200. I'm looking for 1680x1050. Thanks.

Matthew Harris Stuart, just edit the users account in AD and force the user's account to not map client drives. You can make other, special, accounts map the drives.
